Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Revelation 5.8
And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.
Revelation 8.2-4

1 Peter 4.7
"...but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

Intercessory Prayer
As with the multitude of houses of prayer that God is raising up all over the earth in this hour, prayer is central to operations at The Altar IHOP, Tokyo. Every other ministry and activity born out of this house is centered around this core element. To put the concept into a picture, imagine a bicycle wheel. Prayer is the hub, the center part of the wheel with our ministries and initiatives being best represented as the spokes.
Our people are committed to prayer first and foremost as a lifestyle. It is not something we simply do, but it is at the very heart of our identity and who we are. It's more than simply talking with God about our "problems list" it's about discovering His heart and developing a real two way relationship with him.
Here, in menu items list to the right of this page, you will find some of the things we pray about on an ongoing basis. We'd like to invite you to visit this page every so often to keep up to date on the types of things Abba is speaking to us.
